I am a Self-care advocate here to assist in changing the stigma associated with mental health and well being. It is imperative that your goals, dreams, and desires are apart of your to-do list. I’m here to help you be of greater service to others by taking the time to focus on your own goals and aspirations.
“On December 6, 1984, my fourteen-year-old daughter, Gloria Pointer was brutally raped and murdered. Her case remained unsolved for twenty-nine years before an arrest was finally made. During that time God used me as a Community Activist, Humanitarian, Philanthropist, Motivational Speaker, Author and a minister of the Gospel in an attempt to make the world a safer place for children. I gave my all to Him. So often in giving my all, I had little if any left for myself. Exhausted at times above measures is an adequate description. I am thankful for the ministry of Shawanna Kennedy in which she reminds us to put ourselves first. This theory is often described during air flights. In the case of an emergency and the oxygen masks are required, put it on yourself first and then help someone else. Thank you, woman of God for the reminder, because of your witness I don’t feel guilty about taking time for myself.”
